And… two of my most underwhelming art moments this year were: Terracotta Warriors: The First Emperor and His Legacy and Open House (OH!) 2011 at Marine Parade. Terracotta Warriors should have been more spectacular; the exhibit was too tame. Open House was one of my first encounters with emerging contemporary art/artists in Singapore. I loved the concept – bringing art into the HDB, a Singapore institution – but not a single piece rocked my world. It was wholly forgettable, IMHO.
